Understand custom domains, SheraAI subdomains, DNS ownership, hosting registration and SSL before connecting a website through SheraAI Studio.

SheraAI Technologies

Choose an address people can remember

You can connect a domain you already own, such as www.yourschool.edu.pk, or request a SheraAI subdomain such as your-school.shera-ai.pk. A subdomain is an address under the existing SheraAI domain; it is not a separately purchased domain.

Request a SheraAI subdomain

Complete the website request form with your organization, contact details and preferred name. The owner reviews the request and can approve or reject it. Approval creates a private website draft and reserves its proposed address. It does not immediately publish the website or grant editor access.

Connect an existing domain

The owner opens Manage website, enters the hostname and prepares the connection. Three things must agree: the hostname is registered with the hosting project, DNS points it to that project, and the ownership challenge belongs to this website.

When Cloudflare manages the domain, add the records in Cloudflare. DNS records normally include a CNAME or A record for routing and a TXT record for verification. Use the exact values shown for the connection; different hosting projects may have different recommended targets. Keep routing records in DNS-only mode while setting up the connection.

Verify before going live

Use Check DNS & hosting after adding the records. A saved hostname alone does not prove a connection works. DNS changes may take time to appear, and HTTPS needs the hosting platform's certificate configuration as well. Studio activates routing only after the required checks succeed.

Publish the content separately

Domain setup and publication are separate steps. Your private draft can be previewed before the domain is ready. Once the connection is verified, review your content and publish it. Later edits remain private until their next publication.

Change or remove an address

Disconnecting a domain removes website routing inside Studio. Remove unwanted records in your DNS and hosting accounts separately. Moving a website to trash takes its publication offline while retaining the content for restoration.
